Hi-Lites Charity Day 2016

HI-LITES CHARITY DAY, Thursday 4th August, this year supporting Prostate Cancer.

This year we chose to support Prostate Cancer and had the best year so far by raising an amazing £5,121.35.

We began our fundraising with an Easter raffle and then Chris and I ran our second London marathon on 24th April. Tina chose to do a sponsored slim and smashed the two stone goal she set herself. Next, we had a car boot sale, which meant all of us getting up at 5am to set up everything along Southsea seafront, selling items donated by friends and family. We had a beautiful sunny day and sold almost everything.

Next was our annual Charity Day at the salon on Thursday 4th August.  We all dressed up in our 80's themed costumes and cut peoples's hair outside the salon, for a £7.50 donation. We also did Face painting, sold cakes baked by us, our clients, friends and family, tombola and an amazing appearance by the snakes from Warren's Ark, supported all day by our fabulous DJ Bob.

Our party night, at Roko Health Club the following week, is always a great success, thanks to all the local businesses who support us with raffle prizes, Stuart for being on the decks again, Zoey for singing for us, Claire, for you and your fabulous dancers and the incredible support from all our family and friends who buy their tickets each year to help raise this tremendous amount of money.
